Have you ever seen the /FirstTimeHomebuyer entries on Reddit and got jealous? A recent one was "first home on 6+ acres, 32 year old husband & wife, bought a custom home with $165K down at 4.75% on a 15 year loan. Their payment is $3,700/month. Is buying a new custom house with that amount down a possibility for most people as their first house? Probably not. But the redditor went on to say that he's been in tech sales for ten years and his wife also has a good job so they've been saving like crazy.
What are you doing to save money for your downpayment on your first home?
